Hi, I’m Julie

I know what it’s like to feel frustrated knowing that I could be healthier - should be feeling more energized, but not knowing where to turn for motivation. Sometimes our inner drive is focused all on caring for others and we lose the path to ourselves.

It can be hard to ask for help with all the touched up images out there trying to lure you to an idea of “perfection”. I want to hear what your vision is, not give you my agenda.

I’m a holistic wellness coach who helps people find life balance and body acceptance by connecting them with the guidance of their body’s own intuition. I am empathic, intuitive, creative, compassionate - and I believe in the power of curiosity and joy in personal transformation.

how am i qualified to help you?

I received my certification as a holistic health/wellness coach in 2010 from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. There, I studied over 100 different dietary approaches and theories. I bring years of my own research about food sensitivities and my interest in natural healing to this work, as well. I have been a licensed massage therapist & energy worker for 27 years and have learned from my clients' experiences about how to create change and how to find joy and more freedom in your body. I bring all of this to my coaching.

The magic in my health coaching approach is about listening, passion, and commitment to helping you find your way to your center of vitality, and to your own inner wisdom.

When you feel too tired at the end of the day to cook a satisfying meal, I have tips for ways that I throw together something quick and healthy. I also pay close attention to what you tell me about your habits, food and flavor preferences, what your family will eat.

We can talk about your foggy brain, your sugar cravings and how you’d like to improve your diet to feel better, how you miss dancing or wish you could find a yoga class you love.

This is the beginning… how we get a foot in the door to delve deeper into what you really need to thrive in the life your heart is seeking to create.

I focus on who you are - finding ways for you to implement personal solutions. The changes happen when you are heard and validated, and when your spirit is lifted up to believe in yourself.

Bio-Individuality not Fad Diets

Your body and mind are unique, your nourishment needs will be unique, too. Bio-individuality means that each of us has our own dietary needs based on many factors - our ancestry, where we live, our work and movement habits, time of life, etc.

The fad diets so popular in the mainstream, consumer culture actually thrive on us staying unhappy and unhealthy. I invite you to let me help you buck the system and discover what truly gives you energy and focus.

My coaching style is about creativity, flexibility, and guiding you to enjoying nourishing yourself - body, mind and spirit. It’s about discovering a sane work life balance that allows you to be more satisfied with how you spend your time.

Food sensitivities: I have a special interest in helping people to adapt to restricted diets. It can be an amazingly creative and fulfilling transition with a coach by your side. I am passionate about finding ways to make eating foods that nourish you fun, delicious and easy. I have been through this journey myself.

Body Positivity/ Body Acceptance

We have been brainwashed by the media to believe we aren’t enough something - thin, fit, strong, attractive, fun, etc. Sometimes this is what brings people to want to “improve” themselves.

I don’t work toward goal weights with my clients. I work with you to help you love yourself every day and to see any goals as part of the journey to accept and appreciate your miraculous body every moment, no just that moment in time when you fit into a specific article of clothing. This part of the work is ongoing as we observe thoughts, beliefs and self-judgement.

I bear witness to the process and hold a tender space for reflection and honesty. It’s about learning self-awareness, compassion and love for yourself which leads to deeper self-care.
